Croissants in a can!
Yep, croissants in a can!
My mistake was not keeping it refrigerated, so it went off, building up pressure in the cardboard can, so when I went to open it... fplooff. It is meant to be a roll of pastry perforated into triangles so you can tear it off, roll it up, and after 15 mins at 225oC get a hot, buttery croissant. Meant to be.
Also, in the world of very un-French packaging...
French wine in a carton! Obviously the Aussie cask wasn't good enough for them, so they've gone to tetrapacks, but I couldn't believe it! They must think it is so degrading. But no, the French are apparently pioneering tetrapacked wine, and use them even in France.
BTW did you read that the French are going to convert about 100million litres of wine into ethanol for cars - there is a glut of wine that they can't sell. First they pack it into boxes, now they are dumping it petrol tanks. What has the world come to?
