Cocktail Party - June 3

Once upon a time, after a few beers watching Carola win the Swedish Song Contest, the idea of a cocktail party was mooted. A couple of months later, after much research in bars and at home with various combinations of liquers and spirits, Anders, Ida and I held the party last week.

Preparations

The menu was:

• Bloody Mary
• Caipirinha
  
• Sinapore Sling
• Sidecar
• Tjosan (a creation based on grapefruit juice, cointreau, and dash of chartreuse)
  
• Martini (stirred, not shaken)
• Cosmopolitan
• Chuuhai (japanese shouchuu with pear cider)
  
• Manhattan
• Monkey Gland

The standout favourite was the Caipirinha, with Singapore Sling or Monkey Gland coming 2nd.
