Sno-stalgia
Despite promising not to write so much about the weather here, it is kinda unavoidable, especially as it is so totally, unbelievably, crap at the moment. The above pic was taken a week ago. Now, the donuts are a faint, puddly memory, and all the snow is gone. The last three weeks have been hovering around +2, with pouring rain, fog, and darkness, which is really much more noticeable without all the white, reflective snow around. It makes a huge difference.
It is 'likely' we'll have a white Christmas - I'm not sure if Luleå has ever not had one, but you might not think so with all the green grass on display. What's amazing to me is that the grass didn't die - 3 to 4 weeks under snow, wth generally negative temperatures couldn't have been good for it, but right now its as green as the needles on pine trees. Except where it is just a mud puddle.
There is only one dip below 0 forecast for the next week. I have another international guest coming after Xmas, x-country skis to use more than once, and the desire for another white christmas, so there had better be snowfalls, and soon. Hear me, snow gods? No, not you your Sleetiness, I meant to wake up her Snowiness sleeping next to you...
So, in the interests of snowstalgia, here are some pics from the glory days.

Is this another rondellhund? Or is it a rondell-goat?
What would you choose: a few minutes warming up the car (after being plugged in overnight to a power outlet to keep the engine warm), then a few minutes digging it out of the snow on the way home, or 2 hours on foot just to travel a couple of kms on a Saturday, when there is only 1 bus an hour and bad connections.
